Agu — Privacy Policy

Agu ("the app") is a voice-first baby tracker for iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your baby's data stays on your iPhone.

Data stored on your device only

  • Baby profile (name, birth date, gender), feed / sleep / diaper / health logs, growth measurements, medical records and reminders are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData. They are never uploaded to our servers. We have no servers that store your data and no user accounts.
  • You can export your data at any time (CSV) and delete any entry or the app itself to remove all data.

    • Microphone & speech

  • Voice logging and cry detection process audio entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition and Sound Analysis frameworks. Audio is never recorded to disk, never uploaded, and never leaves your iPhone.

    • Optional AI analysis

  • If you use the Analysis tab, the app sends aggregated, anonymous numbers only (counts and totals such as "6 feeds, 14h sleep, 2 dirty diapers", baby age and gender — never a name, never audio, never free text you didn't write) to our processing endpoint (Cloudflare Workers) which forwards it to an AI model via OpenRouter to generate a summary. This data is not stored by us and is used solely to produce the report you requested. If you never tap "Analyze", nothing is ever sent.

    • Notifications

  • Wake-up alerts and appointment reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push servers are involved.

    • Purchases

  • Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details. Subscription status may be managed through RevenueCat acting as our processor, which handles anonymous purchase receipts only.

    • What we don't do

  • No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, no selling of data, no accounts.

    • Children's privacy

  • Agu is a tool for parents and caregivers, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
